Good morning. I would like to ask. Are there any taxes imposed for foreigners with married KITAS visas other than Withholding Tax? Because the foreigner lives in Indonesia. Then, what if the foreigner with the KITAS does not work in any company and does not open a business. Is he still subject to tax payments and needs to make an NPWP? Please answer. Thank you.
If the foreigner stays in Indonesia for more than 183 days, subjectively the foreigner can already be categorized as a Domestic Taxpayer and needs to make a TIN. Furthermore, if the foreigner does not have income from within or outside the country, then there is no income tax that needs to be paid. However, reporting obligations remain.
